Transport to and from Oslo Airport Gardermoen

Oslo airport has one of the world's highest levels of public transport usage:

 

Trains

The train takes about 20 minutes from the city centre to the airport.

 

- Airport Express Train (Flytoget)

The Airport Express Train runs between Drammen - Asker - Sandvika - Lysaker - Skøyen - Nationaltheatret - Oslo Station - Lillestrøm. The train operates to Oslo Central Station 6 times/hour (weekday, 3 times/hour during weekends) every 20 minutes more or less. Three services continue to intermediate stations to Drammen Station.

 

- NSB – Norwegian State Railways

All NSB Regional Trains that run between Skien, Oslo, Lillehammer and Trondheim stop at Oslo Airport. Trains on the Kongsberg–Eidsvoll line also stop at the Airport.

 

- Gardermoen

Gardermoen Line is a high-speed railway line that links Oslo and Eidsvoll, in Norway, running past Lillestrøm and Oslo Airport facilities below a tunnel. The station is located just below the terminal.

 

Buses and Coaches

Ruter, the local transport authority, operates a number of services to Oslo Airport from nearby places. Buses run to/from Oslo airport and make a number of stops in the surroundings of the airport.

 

- Airport Express Coach (SAS Flybussen)

Runs between Oslo city centre and Oslo Airport every 20 minutes daily.

 

- Nor-way bus Airport Coach (Flybussekspressen)

The Nor-way bus runs to and from Majorstuen, Bekkestua, Ski and Fredrikstad.

 

- Nettbuss

Nettbuss runs at Oslo Airport and shuttle bus services between the airport and nearby hotels. Netbuss Express runs to Måløy and Volda.

 

Shuttle buses

- Askeladden Reiser / Gardermobussen

Runs an airport coach service between Sundvollen, Hønefoss, Jevnaker, Lunner and Oslo Airport.

 

- TIMEkspressen

TIMEkspressen runs between Gjøvik, Skreia, Oslo Airport and Oslo.

 

- Boreal transport

Boreal go to Elverum amd Trysil.

 

Oslo Airport Express Coach provides service from the airport to Oslo, Fredrikstad, Ski and Gjøvik. A lot of other express buses coming from differents parts of Norway stop at the airport as well.

 

Taxi

To pick up a taxi from the airport, go to Arrivals Hall, at the information desk. It has information about rates and the different companies that provides taxi service in Oslo airport and you can book a taxi there as well.

Taxi rank is located outside the arrivals hall.

Car

The airport is located on European Route E16 which connects as a lane motorway to the European Route E6 about 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) to the east, and continues eastwards to Kongsvinger and Sweden. The E6 runs south to Oslo, and northwards towards Oppland, Hedmark and Central Norway.

There are 11,400 parking spaces at the airport.
